was their voice when no other voices dare rise in their defense.  Darrow said, “Lost causes are the only ones worth fighting for.”

He never lost a client who faced the death penalty and saved 102 men from execution.  His clients were the new immigrants to
America, practicing unfamiliar religions, treated with suspicion and scorn.
